In compliance with the automobile regulation from July 21st, 2003, suppliers to the automobile industry are required to declare all substances contained in the products which they deliver. These data are required for the determination of the recycling quotas. The "Internationale MaterialDatenSystem IMDS" is the database of the automobile industry. It is a joint development of Audi, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Opel, Porsche, VW and Volvo. In the meantime, a number of other companies have joined the organisation, and negotaions are being carried out with further producers. All raw materials used in automobile construction are listed and administrated in the IMDS. This is the only possible way to fulfill all the national and international standards, rules, regulations and laws which are required of the automobile producers and their suppliers. You will find a general view of this database under All of the quartz units, oscillators, resonators, and accessories
from Comtec Crystals are included in detail in this database. We
can provide all our customers protected accesss to these data.
If a customer is already registered with the IMDS, then a request
per email, telphone or a notice on the order form is sufficient.
We will then release the data for these products for this customer's
use. Registration for the IMDS data base is free of charge,
and can be made online at the above address. If you have any questions in regard to this database, please feel free to call or email us. |
